In class with Mrs Makin we did Rangoli editing on the computers, their where many different styles but i really think my one was so different that it was great. I used complementary colors and made sure my shape was symmetrical. The natural shape of the rangoli give it an apperance of a flower. This Rangoli was a lot of fun and i really enjoyed doing it. I hope that in the future i can improve my rangoli works. I think i could improve my work by using colours that more suit the shape of the Rangoli.

The major elements to a Rangoli are that it must be symmetrical; colours are often bright and are made of recycled materials.
4. Reflect on three of your favourite designs. Discuss the line, colours, pattern and lines of symmetry created in the design
My three favourite designs are shown above. I think I really like these ones is because of instead of using black as the outline colour white has been use. All the lines are oriental and almost make the pattern seem like it is in a flower. I love the colours schemes they are all very calming and peaceful colours and make me want to relax. The patterns come from the centre of the piece. Each of the patterns are very different but they all make such beautiful patterns. The
5. Choose a favourite. What does it remind you of?…. be as imaginative as possible
My favourite Rangoli is the 2nd picture. It reminds me of a beautiful rare flower which maybe only found in India. I think the artist has used complementary colours this makes the colours flow. I believe that this flower would probably be found on the top of an ancient temple and maybe an significant part to the people traditions. It must have been very difficult to make but the Rangoli is almost perfectly symmetrical.

What is Art?
Art is a way of expressing or showing how we feel or how people look and feel around us. Everyone sees art differently and everyone’s interpretation of art is different. Some people believe that art is just something you hang on a wall or something like a sculpture. But some people believe that art is the things around us. The Beauty of a Desert the under scribe able texture of a reef are just some. While others see a phone or a computer as a piece of art. I believe that anything can be art. I know that art is more than just the things we paint and or is around us, it is the vision of how we see the world.
After our class discussion I still think my statement is true and that I covered a large aspect of art.
Painting Hands:
I think this was really cool and this was definitely a piece of art, I wish I could do that.
Fruit Carving:
Fruit carving is definitely a piece of art. It was like they where carving a piece of granet but instead it was with fruit. They where able to have beautiful colours unlike normal sculptures.
Speed Fries:
This was awesome I am not sure how the person thought of this but it is really creative piece.
Lino block Printing Process. the lino block printing process is performed by carving a piece of wood or linoleum block and then inking it and the placing it on paper.
In this painting my colour scheme was cool colours. The origanal image was green so i changed it to blue.
This is how i did my painting:
- i painted the background with my complentry colour(orange)
- once the paint was dry i drew my fruit on it
- then i cafrefully painted each line around the out side
- After this i painted the inside of the fruit a lite blue
- I then dottedmy painting
- then i was finished
I realy love my painting and i think it has come out very well. I like my colour sceem and my dotting best of all and i have had a really good time painting this painting.
The only diffuculty i faced was painting the lines inthe background it took me 4 hours.
